Line 22 of this Fürst Bismarck manifest shows a 17-year-old single Bohemian, Antonin P/Tauber of 'Mostetz', bound for Chicago. Line 23 is Františka, 20, who is joining her brother Vaclav Tauber at 4717 Hermitage Ave, Chicago, so this is very likely the claimed Antonín Tauber and the arrival at New York is supported. However, the handwritten arrival date in the header reads 'Oct 2nd 1903', not 1 October. The claim's date should be checked against the header, and against the ship's arrival in the Ellis Island register, and corrected if needed.
Matches: Line 22 of List 9, SS Fürst Bismarck, sailing from Hamburg 23 September 1903 and arriving at New York: 'Antonin' (indexed 'Antonia'), surname read as 'Pauber'/'Tauber'; Age 17, single, race or people Bohemian. Implies birth about 1886, within one year of the claimed 1887; Last residence written 'Mostetz' (or similar). Final destination Chicago, Ill.; Line 23 is Františka, 20, ditto surname. Her passage was paid by her brother, and she is joining 'brother Vaclav Tauber, 4717 Hermitage Ave, Chicago'. This supports reading the family surname as Tauber; Port of New York matches the claimed place
Flags: The manifest header gives the arrival as 'Oct 2nd 1903' (handwritten), not 1 October 1903 as claimed
Limits: The first letter of the surname on line 22 is ambiguous (P/T). The Tauber reading rests on the sister's entry naming brother Vaclav Tauber; The manifest gives an age, not a birth date. It is silent on the 1939 death; 'Mostetz' is not confidently matched here to a modern Czech place name
