Those close to him felt that this loss added a broken heart and loneliness to Fred. Fred, surrounded by loving family and friends, died on June 24, 2018. The son of William and Mary Matchopatow was born August 14, 1947 in Shawano, Wisconsin. Fred graduated from Shawano High School and Lakeshore Technical Institute. Fred and Sandy (Konecny) were married on July 14, 1984 and they spent their life together in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Fred was employed for over 40 years at the Anheuser-Busch malt plant in Manitowoc retiring in 2012. ... Survivors include his brothers-in-law Peter (Jody) Konecny and Michael (Nancy) Konecny. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and many loving friends. ... Fred was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Friends may call at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018.
