Research note (added 2026-08-12): Birthplace recorded here as "Bohemia" 1859, but his children's events point to Moravia — son Peter b. 28 Jun 1893 Hovorany, Hodonin district, Jihomoravsky (South Moravian) region; son Joseph b. 1901 in Czech lands. Bohemia vs Moravia conflict left unresolved; keeping existing tree value rather than overwriting from unsourced member trees. Only hint currently available is a member family tree (Backus Family Tree), not accepted — needs official records (parish/church books for Hovorany, Milwaukee death record, naturalization) before changing birthplace or adding parents John Konecny/Mary Nedbal with confidence. Also confirm death place "Milwaukee, WI" with an official death index entry.

Stepani, son of Jan Konecny (servant, pansky dvur Hluk) and Frantiska (dau. of Frantisek Sebak, cottager of Hluk); mother Veronika, dau. of Jiri Kadlec (nadennik ve Sv. Stepani) and Marie (dau. of Jiri Kostka, pasekar ve Sv. Stepani). Second son Frantisek b. 20 Aug 1895, same house 160 (snimek 165), father then pomocnik v huti. So the family was in MORAVIA (Brumov-Bylnice), not Hovorany; Kostany/Teplitz were later glass-work residence. Hovorany Peter is a different man. Diacritics omitted due to input limits. 13 Aug 2026 CLEANUP: birth changed 1859 -> abt 1867, Svaty Stepan/Bylnice, Moravia (age 46 on 14 May 1913 Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse).
